On Saturday, January 26th the 14th Annual Cardinal O'Connor Conference, the nation's largest student-run pro-life conference, will be held at Georgetown University.
Last year Archbishop Chaput of Philadelphia delivered the keynote address to over 700 attendees, many of them high school and college students in Washington, D.C. for the March for Life. This year, Helen Alvaré, one of the most outspoken leaders in the pro-life movement with over 10 years of experience on the NCCB Secretariat for Pro-Life Activities, will deliver the keynote address.
The Conference also features nine breakout session speakers on a variety of life issues including law, bioethics, theology, and politics. The afternoon panel event, titled "Women Leaders in the Pro-Life Movement," features Live Action-founder Lila Rose, Susan B. Anthony List President Marjorie Dannenfelser, and abortion survivor Melissa Ohden.
The Conference will close with the Mass for Life celebrated by Donald Cardinal Wuerl, Archbishop of Washington, in Georgetown's Dahlgren Chapel of the Sacred Heart.
Finally, the day will conclude with the Fiesta For Life - a dinner and social to benefit the Northwest Pregnancy Center in Washington, DC.
More information on the Conference schedule of speakers and registration can be found at http:// cardinaloconnorconference.com/ .
Many thanks- Fraternal Christmas and new years blessings to you.
